God's Call To Young People - Sermons for the Rising Generation
It was a common practice in Puritan churches (particularly in New England) to preach to the young people of the church and the town on a regular basis. Some churches took every eighth Sunday and devoted it to preaching to the souls of their young people. It is not surprising to find, then, that the average age of conversion in Puritan England and New England was 6, where in our day it is in the late teens.
