Evangelism Explosion: The Coral Ridge Program for Lay Witness

When this ministry first began more than twenty years ago, such an explosion of evangelism seemed more of a dream than a reality. Today that dream is taking on the contours of reality more and more. The Church of Jesus Christ is growing throughout the world at an unprecedented rate. This is due in large measure to the fact that an ever-increasing number of lay people are realizing their responsibility and privilege of being witness to Jesus Christ. Every year more thousands of Christians become equipped and trained to share faith with others. Truly the Church is beginning to look “like a mighty army.” The most exciting aspect, however, is the fact that the more the Church grows and the more Christians who are trained, the faster the rate of growth becomes. We are actually beginning to see the results of an explosion of evangelism, but the best is yet to come! It is estimated that by the end of this year, about ten thousand churches in more than fifty countries will be training their lay people to witness, using the principles and methods of the Evangelism Explosion Ministry. There are three phases of the Evangelism Explosion Ministry that have been developed over the years. They are as follows: 1. Evangelizing, 2. Discipling, 3. Church Nurturing.
