Lest We Build on Sand
A study of the natural basis for supernatural formation. As the sub-title indicates, this is a study of the natural basis for supernatural formation. It stresses the fact that today we live in a culture in transition, that supernatural living rests upon a natural basis, and that modern formation of religious must take into account the personality, attitudes, psychological needs and self-concept of the candidate for the religious life. Attention is focused on the need for and the importance of excellence in both the spiritual life and the professional, apostolic work of the religious. Throughout the volume emphasis is placed upon the fact that there is not and should not be any conflict between the religious vocation and the professional work of the religious in the apostolate.
